Notably, New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sales reached 51,016 units, marking an increase of 227.12%. UK & Australia: JAECOO 7 Ranks Top Three YTD; JAECOO 5 EV Secures BEV Runner-Up

In right-hand-drive (RHD) markets characterized by sophisticated consumer behavior and stringent regulatory standards, OMODA & JAECOO entered a harvest period of strategic growth this May.

According to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), OMODA & JAECOO registered 7,961 vehicles in the UK in May. The star model, JAECOO 7, delivered an eye-catching performance with 3,027 registrations in a single month, ranking fourth in the UK’s overall monthly new car sales list and maintaining its position among the top three in year-to-date (YTD) cumulative new car sales for 2026. From January to May, the brand’s total UK registrations reached 43,074 units, further consolidating its position within the leading tier.

A similar milestone was achieved in the Australian market. In May, OMODA & JAECOO sold 2,570 units in Australia, representing a 729% year-on-year surge and setting a new monthly sales record since entering the country. Year-to-date, the brand has shown an exponential growth curve in Italy: starting with 2,557 units in January (up 368% YoY), crossing 3,000 units in February (up 481%), breaking into the top 20 overall brands in March, and lifting its market share to 2.54% by April.

On June 5, the 16th China International Robotics Summit Forum opened in Wuhu, where the winners of the 12th Capek Prize were also announced.
