AiMOGA Robotics Wins the 12th Capek Prize

OMODA & JAECOO Co-Developed AiMOGA Robotics Wins the 12th Capek Prize for Exemplary Application Scenarios

On June 5, the 16th China International Robotics Summit Forum opened in Wuhu, where the winners of the 12th Capek Prize were also announced. Leveraging the joint R&D and technological empowerment of OMODA & JAECOO, AiMOGA Robotics received the 12th Capek Prize for Exemplary Application Scenarios (Public Service Category). Zhang Guibing, President of AiMOGA Robotics, was invited to attend the main forum and delivered a keynote speech titled “Exploring the Path of Humanoid Robots from the Laboratory and Demonstration Stage to Industrialization and Commercialization.”

Industry Leaders Gather as AiMOGA Earns a Prestigious Award

This year’s summit brought together more than 600 participants from across the robotics industry, including robotics companies, research institutes, upstream and downstream supply chain enterprises, industry experts, and leading figures, to discuss the sector’s development trends. The Capek Prize is one of the most authoritative and influential awards in China’s robotics industry and is often regarded as the industry’s “Nobel Prize.” The award aims to recognize benchmark companies with strategic vision and strong innovation capabilities.  As a robotics brand jointly developed with OMODA & JAECOO, AiMOGA Robotics has long adhered to a scenario-first development philosophy, and was among the earlier players to push robots into real-world deployment. Its humanoid robots have already been applied in a wide range of public service scenarios, including government service halls, transportation hubs, major sporting events, and cultural and tourism venues. This award represents important recognition from the industry for AiMOGA’s continued work in public service applications and for its progress in accelerating the commercial deployment of humanoid robots.

Focusing on Scenario Applications and Defining a Phased Industrialization Path

During the forum, Zhang Guibing, President of AiMOGA Robotics, shared AiMOGA’s industrial development philosophy based on the company’s practical deployment experience with humanoid robots: advanced technology must ultimately return to industrial application. AiMOGA has consistently adhered to a scenario-driven R&D approach. Rather than blindly pursuing the creation of all-purpose robots, the company focuses on real job requirements, enabling robots to carry out precise, repetitive, and cost-efficient tasks.

Based on current development practice, AiMOGA is advancing humanoid robot industrialization in phases. It will first cultivate broader public awareness through accessible consumer-grade products, then build market trust through public service applications, and ultimately bring robots into ordinary households. At the same time, the company is actively extending into high-risk industrial sectors such as firefighting, exploring markets with rigid demand. This pragmatic development path also provides a practical reference for the industry’s transition toward the commercialization of humanoid robots.

Deepening Full-Chain Industrial Layout to Strengthen Long-Term Competitiveness

Looking ahead, Zhang Guibing noted that the humanoid robotics industry may eventually enter a stage of price competition, and that self-developed, self-manufactured core components and strong cost-control capabilities will be critical to a company’s long-term success. AiMOGA has already moved ahead with a full industrial-chain layout to reinforce its long-term competitiveness. Backed by the strong strength of the Chery Group and leveraging the mature manufacturing system and global technological capabilities of OMODA & JAECOO, AiMOGA reuses 70% of Chery’s established supply chain resources and has also established 31 dedicated robotics research institutes, achieving cost reduction and efficiency gains from both the technology and supply chain sides while building core competitive advantages. In talent development, AiMOGA Academy has partnered with nearly 600 universities nationwide to co-build laboratories and training bases, cultivating specialized talent in applications, operations and maintenance, and marketing to address the industry’s talent gap. In terms of industrial support, the company is planning a thousand-mu core components industrial park in Wuhu to gather upstream and downstream resources. It has also innovatively built a robot leasing platform and launched a human-robot collaborative service model, precisely matching the procurement needs of government and enterprise clients and accelerating product market adoption.

This award brings fresh momentum to AiMOGA’s continued growth. Looking ahead, OMODA & JAECOO will continue to collaborate with AiMOGA Robotics to improve its full industrial-chain layout, accelerate the implementation of its industrial park and technology iteration, expand application scenarios across multiple sectors, and steadily advance humanoid robots from the laboratory to commercialization and eventually into households. OMODA & JAECOO will always remain committed to its vision of “Co-Create A Beautiful Life With Young People,” upholding the principles of “Born Unique, Born Green” and “global brand + local operations,” leveraging differentiated strategy and a global perspective to help bring smart technology to life.
